Sako L46 .222 Magnum Sporter
This is a very nice example of the L46/L469 detachable magazine Sako of the late 1950's and very early 1960's before it was replaced with the L461 short action. The .222 Magnum chambering is scarce in this model, and this one, like many others, is marked "L46" rather than the official designation of "L469". The sight hood has been removed by the previous owner, probably for a better scope picture, otherwise the rifle is all-original with the original Sako factory finish on both metal and wood and the factory Sako plastic buttplate on uncut wood. Condition is good with some dings on the stock and decent bluing. Bore looks very good. The Bofors-marked barrel is 23.6" and the detachable magazine holds three rounds. Original sling swivels are still in place. This difficult to find rifle is C&R eligible, of course. Special note: We have a rare extra factory magazine available for this rifle. Regular price is $300, but with purchase of rifle magazine is $250. We also have brand new Nosler brass in .222 Magnum available.
