Sako L46 .222 Magnum Sporter

This is a very nice example of the L46/L469 detachable magazine Sako of the late 1950's and very early 1960's before it was replaced with the L461 short action.  The .222 Magnum chambering is scarce in this model, and this one, like a few others, is marked "L46" rather than the official designation of "L469".  The sight blade and hood have been removed by the previous owner, probably for a better scope picture, otherwise the rifle is all-original with the original Sako factory finish on both metal and wood and the factory Sako plastic buttplate on uncut wood.  Condition is very good with only a few dings on the stock and excellent bluing.  Bore looks very good.  The Bofors-marked barrel is 23.6" and the detachable magazine holds three rounds. Original sling swivels are still in place.  This difficult to find rifle is C&R eligible, of course
