Sako L61R pre-Garcia 7mm Rem Mag
Finnbear with three lug bolt and Bofors Steel barrel
This Finnbear from 1965 is fully original, in excellent shooting condition, and the visible marks on the stock are from honest carry and not abuse. The condition of the bore shows that it was carried much more than fired and retains clean, sharp rifling. The metal bluing is also in excellent condition, with the original stock finish showing only the honest use mentioned. It has all of the expected features of a 1965 vintage Finnbear including three lug bolt, Bofors Steel barrel, open centered crossbolt nut, "s" shaped magazine release, and original fixed sling swivels, as well as original sight hood. Like many Sako recoil pads of this era this one shows some crush and deformation, but is usable as-is or can be replaced according to the owner's preference. The rifle also comes with (removable) Redfield bases which accept a wide variety height and diameter of rings from Burris, Leupold, and others. Barrel is 24.4" in length and the magazine holds four magnum rounds down. A fantastic hunting rifle that is not "too nice" to take afield. C&R Elligible.
